This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to supersmiles.au and our Services.

2. The information we collect

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our Services, including:

• Application information — details about your circumstances, your superannuation, and the dental treatment you need.
• Sensitive information — including health information (such as your dental or medical condition and practitioner reports). We only collect sensitive information with your consent and where it is necessary for our Services.
• Technical information — collected automatically when you use the Site, such as your device, browser, IP address and usage, via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

We never collect or ask for your myGov login details.

3. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you — for example, when you use our chat, complete a form, book a consultation, or communicate with us — and, with your authority, from third parties such as your dentist or doctor.

4. Why we collect it and how we use it

• To provide our Services and prepare and organise your application.
• To communicate with you and respond to your enquiries.
• To improve the Site and our Services.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

We only use your information for the purposes for which it was collected, related purposes you would reasonably expect, or as otherwise permitted by law or with your consent.

5. When we disclose it

We may disclose your personal information to:

• the ATO and your superannuation fund, with your authority, as part of your application;
• your dentist or doctor, with your consent, to arrange the required documents;
• service providers who help us operate (for example, IT, hosting, booking and communication providers), under confidentiality obligations;
• others where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may send you information about our Services where permitted. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Australia. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law, then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

Our Services are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
